A fantastic volunteering opportunity for young people, with funding to help them deliver real change in the local community.

What is it?

This is an interesting opportunity for teams of young people aged 14-25 to deliver projects that will enhance community facilities or recreation sites in the North East of England and West Midlands. The challenge is funded and supported by the Foyer Federation and SITA Trust.

26 teams of young people will be selected to receive funding, coaching and support, helping them to deliver change in their local community.

What funding is available?

Funding of up to £25,000 will be awarded to each project. Projects are expected to last over nine months.

To be eligible, you need to assemble a Youth Steering Group of 10 young people, who will be involved in the design and delivery of the project.

Project ideas include: improvements to community buildings; sculpture creations in public spaces; new play facilities for children; and disabled access routes to parks or community halls.

How do I apply?

The next step is to register your interest by 28th May 2015.
