Have you used film to engage students in the classroom?

If the answer is yes, then you should consider entering the Into Film Awards.

What is it?

The Into Film Awards celebrate the most inspirational examples of using film in the classroom. The judges want to know what you have done, why you decided to take this approach and the difference that the use of film has made for your students.

Who can apply?

Nominations can be made by teachers themselves or by a student, colleague or parent in the UK.

The nomination must demonstrate the inspirational use of film in the classroom.

What makes a winning nomination?

The judges will consider the following criteria to make their selection:

  • The nominated teacher has used film to excite pupils and engage them in learning
  • The nominated teacher has used filmmaking as a tool for enhancing the learning experience of pupils
  • The nominated teacher screens interesting films and uses discussion and review writing to challenge pupils
  • The approach taken has made a positive impact, perhaps delivering innovative thinking or real change, providing constant support or improving results.

How do I enter?

The entry form is available on the Into Film website.

The deadline for applications is 5pm 26th February 2015.
