The Young Londoners Fund is now open for applications. There is £15 million worth of funding available for projects supporting children and young people across London.

What should I know?

The Young Londoners Fund aims to provide aspirational and positive activities to help children and young people make positive choices and reach their potential. Activities should offer new options to youngsters to limit the risk of them taking the wrong path in life and stop them getting involved in violence and criminal activity.

Creative ideas are welcomed and the fund will support a wide range of activities, such as arts and culture, science and technology, healthy lifestyles, education and skills development, sports and physical activity, mental wellbeing, citizenship and volunteering.

Am I eligible to apply?

Schools are welcome to apply.

A whole range of other organisations are supported, just as long as they are legally constituted and meet the criteria laid out in the guidance document.

Organisations need to apply as either a Sole Deliverer, a Sole Lead Applicant or a Consortium.

What funding is available?

There are different levels of grant available depending on the role your organisation will play.

Sole Deliverers, Sole Lead Applicants and Consortiums can apply for a small or medium grant:

• Small grants are worth between £10,000 and £30,000 per year, with a maximum grant of £90,000 available over 3 years.
• Medium grants are worth between £30,000 and £50,000 per year, with a maximum grant of £150,000 available over 3 years.

Sole Lead Applicants and Consortiums can apply for a large grant:

• Large grants are worth between £50,000 and £500,000 per year, with a maximum grant of £1,500,000 available over 3 years.

How do I apply?

You can apply online. You need to register on the application portal before completing the application process. Full details are included in the guidance document so please read this thoroughly before making an application. The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Monday 9th July 2018.

Round 2 is due to open in May 2019.
