LiteracyApplications are now being accepted for the final round of the MOD’s Education Support Fund.

There will be £6 million available until 2017/2018 for schools with service children of frequently moved or deployed parents. The grant should be used to mitigate the effects of mobility or deployment of Service families, both Regular and Reserve.

Who can apply?

UK maintained schools, including academies and free schools, can apply for the fund. Sixth form colleges are also eligible to apply. Local authorities can apply on behalf of maintained schools in their area.

Applications are accepted from individual and groups of schools.

What is funded?

A wide range of activities has been funded in the past. Your application should make clear what you are going to do, how this helps pupils overcome the effects of mobility or deployment, be evidence based, show engagement from the Service community, show value for money and identify any long term benefits.

No minimum or maximum grant is specified.

How do I apply?

Applications can be made electronically. Full guidance notes and the application form can be downloaded from the Gov.uk website.

The deadline for applications is 16:00 on 30th September 2016.
