Applications are now being accepted for the M&S Energy Community Energy Fund. It is back for another round!

The aim of the fund is to help communities in the UK to generate renewable energy and become environmentally and financially sustainable.

What is available?

There is a total fund of £300,000 available. Grants of up £12,000 will be awarded to one community group within each M&S region. There will also be funding of £20,000 to split between the most inspiring and innovative projects. There will be a public vote to help decide the winners.

Grants can be spent on capital costs relating to your project.

Who can apply?

The Fund is open to any not-for-profit organisation in the UK that operates its own premises or has land/a site secured for the project. Your project must make a difference to the local community.

This could include:

  • Schools
  • Scout and Guides groups
  • Village or community hall associations
  • Sports and recreation clubs
  • Parish or Town Councils
  • Local action or interest groups.

How do I apply?

There is an online application form to complete. Applications close on 23rd June 2017. Please read the full terms and conditions and Questions and Answers on the M&S Energy website to make sure your project is eligible before applying. You will need development permission and/or planning permission in place when you apply.
