Small Grants to Schools Scheme
The Jerusalem Trust offers small grants to schools to support the teaching of Christianity within Religious Education. It is designed for schools that could not otherwise afford the purchase of RE teaching resources from the school budget.
What is available?
You can apply for a grant of up to £600 to purchase resources for use in RE lessons, such as books, teacher resources and DVDs. A maximum of £250 can be used to purchase examination text books and resources.
Who can apply?
The scheme is open to state secondary schools, including middle and upper schools. Primary schools are also welcome to apply but there are a limited number of grants available. Please refer to the Jerusalem Trust’s website for the current status of grants for primary schools.
How do I apply?
You can apply online. Good applications will consider the quality and shelf-life of the resources you are requesting and the number of pupils who will benefit from the grant.
Applications are currently open.
