2014-07-14 15.32.37Does your school have a breakfast club? If the answer is yes, then you may be eligible to apply for the Kellogg’s Breakfast Club Network Sustainability Package.

What is it?

Kellogg’s is working with the charity Forever Manchester and Northumbria University to provide free online training to help schools run successful breakfast clubs. It will give you access to great resources on healthy eating and child nutrition, effective planning and advice on funding and marketing your breakfast club.

When you have successfully completed your training, you will be eligible to apply for further support from Kellogg’s, in the form of a sustainability grant of up to £500.

How do I apply?

You need to apply online for the breakfast club training by 31st May 2016. After you have completed the training, you will be able to further assess your eligibility for funding and apply for a grant.

Am I eligible?

Your breakfast club must be already set up and based in a school or community organisation in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.

If you have previously received an award through the Kellogg’s Breakfast Club Network Sustainability Package, you will not be eligible to apply again.

There is a limited number of sustainability grants available. Priority will be given to:

  • Schools that have 30% and above of children eligible for free school meals
  • Community based breakfast clubs that can evidence how their children are disadvantaged.

What next?

You can apply online. You are welcome to discuss your eligibility with Forever Manchester. Details are available on the Kellogg’s website.
