Grow the Game provides grants for the creation of new football teams and coaching qualifications. The funding is administered by the Football Foundation on behalf of the Premier League and The FA.

For this round of funding, the following teams will be prioritised for support:

  • Male teams from the Under-14 age bracket and above
  • Female teams
  • Disability teams.

What is available?

Eligible groups can apply for a grant of up to £1,500.

Funding can be used to cover the following costs:

  • Facility hire
  • Hire of FA qualified coaches
  • Referees fees
  • CRB checks
  • Affiliation fees
  • League entry
  • First aid kits
  • Promotion and publicity
  • FA coaching courses
  • Additional courses
  • Football kit.

Who can apply?

Schools are not eligible to apply, however, schools may be working with the following organisations that are invited to apply:

  • Football Clubs
  • Youth Clubs with a football programme
  • Community groups/centre/clubs
  • Charitable Organisations
  • Parish Councils
  • Sports Associations
  • Local Authorities
  • Multi-sports clubs
  • Companies limited by guarantee
  • Industrial and provident societies
  • Unincorporated not-for-profit organisations.

What is the application process?

You need to apply online. Guidance notes are provided so please read these thoroughly before applying.

The deadline for applications is 10th March 2016.
