What can I get funding for?

You can find grants for pretty much anything! From library books and ICT to playgrounds and sports equipment, there are hundreds of grants for schools.

These are some of the projects we’ve helped to fund:

  • Breakfast clubs and after-school clubs
  • Community projects
  • Energy saving and environment
  • Food growing
  • Gardens
  • ICT
  • Libraries
  • Outdoor learning
  • Playgrounds
  • Professional development
  • School buildings
  • School trips (day and residential)
  • Sensory rooms
  • Special Educational Needs
  • Sport equipment and facilities
  • Toys.

Where does the funding come from?

Grant-making trusts, foundations, charities, businesses and individual donors all give grants to schools in the UK. There are hundreds of these organisations so it’s a just a case of finding the right one for your school and your project.

How do I get funding?

This is where you need to speak to us. Your success depends on, firstly, your project’s eligibility (it needs to be well planned, researched, evidenced and written) and, secondly, your ability to find the right fund. We can help you with this.

As a guide, your project should be something that falls outside of the remit of statutory funding and has impact beyond your statutory responsibilities (although projects can be linked to this). If you’re not sure about your project, we’re able to advise on its suitability for funding and even give you some ideas on how to develop it to meet the funder’s requirements.
