The Department for Education is accepting applications for its Leadership Equality and Diversity Fund.

Funding can be used to coordinate school-led equality and diversity projects in your region.

How does it work?

Funding will be awarded to one lead school in each of the regional school commissioner regions. The lead schools will then be responsible for allocating funding to individual school-led projects.

Lead schools must have been graded outstanding or good for overall effectiveness in the most recent Ofsted inspection. They should be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to increasing the diversity of school leadership in their region and have the capacity to do so.

How do I apply?

There is an application form to complete, available online. Full details about the responsibilities of lead schools and funding available can be found on the Gov.uk website.

This application round closes on 9th February 2018 at midday.
