Starbucks Youth Action is back for another year of funding, supporting young people aged 16 to 24 who want to make a positive impact in the community.

What is it?

Young people who are not in employment, education or training are encouraged to apply for up to £1,000 to help them implement their project idea in the community.

There needs to be two young people leading the project. They both have the opportunity to gain Level 2 QCF 10 hour Unit in Leadership in Peer Activities.

There must also be a youth worker or youth organisation supporting the young people through the project.

What projects are funded?

Projects need to make a difference to the local community and involve at least 50 beneficiaries.

You can find details of past projects on the Starbucks website. Note that this webpage has out of date information about a previous funding round, but should give you an idea of the kind of projects Starbucks is looking to fund.

How do I apply?

There is an online application form to complete. You can apply anytime between July 2015 and February 2016.

Good luck!
