We’ve helped schools up and down the country secure funds for their projects. Here’s how.

school funding service, gold star, grants for schools“We have been working with Rachel over the past year and have been very impressed with the service that she has provided us. One of the key challenges that we faced was that we had no individual on the staff who had either a knowledge of grants available to us or the ability and experience to write a winning bid. Rachel ticked those two boxes perfectly and has managed to successfully secure the two grants she has written for us, resulting in over £10,000 worth of funding. All this has been achieved with very little work on our part bar a few phone calls to Rachel. She has been an absolute pleasure to work with and we certainly intend utilising her services in the future.”

“Being new to bid writing but keen to really be successful, I found Rachel invaluable in all aspects of this area. She somehow manages to find grants that cover such a wide spectrum and to be honest, I’d not even manage to do 10% of the ones she finds if I worked 24 hours, seven days a week!

Rachel has the experience and knowledge to assist with bid writing from getting you going with the application, to fine tuning it before submission. Her extra input is often that little snippet that you knew you needed but couldn’t find the words to express. In year 1, Rachel helped me to secure an additional £87,000 of external funding. An impressive addition to our school budget. This ranged from two Awards for All grants for two separate schools, one to set up an ICT club and one for playground equipment, to applications to local trusts for garden club funding and further play equipment. We also won cricket kits for our pupils and a day spent at Lords training with Alastair Cook the England captain. Now that’s a day the cricket team will never forget!

This year has been equally rewarding and successful. Money for music, a new pedestrian path, a peace garden and two bids still awaiting a decision.”

We would not have received the funding needed for our Community Garden project without your expert advice and direction. We have now secured £10,000 grant which will cover all the costs for this much desired project. We want to warmly recommend you to all that are looking into funding their ideas and plans, but need some gently professional support with that. We look forward working with you again in the future. Many thanks again.”

The process was so simple; we had an initial consultation where she drew out what was important to us about our project and she quickly identified the most relevant funding streams. From there, Rachel carefully crafted us a bid and submitted it on our behalf. A few weeks later, I now have a letter saying the bid we put in was successful so we can start making plans for our £9,700 project. We will be running a programme of extra-curricular activities over a whole year, which will make a real difference to our pupils and community. Using School Funding Service was money and time well spent.”
