Celebrate excellence in school

The Patrick Moore Medal is awarded by the Royal Astronomical Society to recognise exceptional secondary school teachers in the field of astronomy or geophysics.

Who can nominate?

Anyone can submit a nomination, including teachers who would like to nominate themselves.

When is the deadline?

Nominations must be submitted by the last Friday in September to qualify for the following year’s awards.

There is a nomination form to complete which is available to download from the Royal Astronomical Society website.
